What is a broadcast
A broadcast sends one message to everyone on a contact list at the same time. Each person receives it as a private text that looks just like a one-to-one message, so they never see who else got it. When someone replies, it lands back in your inbox as a normal conversation.
How to send a bulk SMS on Dialbird?
01
Start a new conversation from the inbox you want to send from.
02
Next to To:, click Select, then choose List, and pick the contact list you want to reach.
03
Type your message and send. Dialbird shows a confirmation with how many people it will reach.

Broadcast vs group text
Group text
Everyone can see every number in the thread.
One reply goes to the whole group at once.
It reads like a mass text, so people mute it.
You cannot tell who actually read it.

Frequently asked questions
What is a bulk SMS broadcast?
A broadcast sends the same message to everyone on a contact list at once. Each person gets it as a private one-to-one text, so there's no group chat and no one sees the other recipients.
How do I send a bulk text in Dialbird?
Start a new conversation, click Select next to To:, choose List, pick your list, type the message, and confirm on the Send Broadcast screen.
Do recipients see each other?
No. Every message goes out as a normal private text, so recipients never see who else received it and nobody ends up in a group thread.
What happens when someone replies to a broadcast?
The reply comes back as an ordinary one-to-one conversation in your inbox. You'll find it under the Broadcast filter at the top of your chat list.
Can I send to just a few hand-picked contacts?
No. A broadcast always goes to a saved list, not a handful of ticked contacts. You can build a list in the picker with the plus button or under Contacts.
Can I attach photos or files to a broadcast?
No. Broadcasts are plain text, so the photo, file, and voice-note buttons are hidden while you compose one.
Do I need carrier registration to send bulk SMS?
To text US numbers you need A2P 10DLC registration first. Unregistered traffic is blocked or heavily filtered by US carriers.
